David Andrews's Story
(Dec 2009) David (DAR) is currently on the road conducting the national tour of Fiddler on the Roof which originally starred the legendary TOPOL as Tevye. The current headliner is Broadway's extraordinary Harvey Fierstein. The tour is expected to run through the end of June of 2010.
David made his Carnegie Hall debut conducting the New York Pops in 2003, a collaboration that has continued annually since then.
He has been Music Director and Conductor for the Broadway national tours of Les Miserables and Show Boat, and his other conducting experience ...Expand for more
ranges from the Broadway national tour of The Phantom of the Opera to conducting for 80s pop star Deborah Gibson in concert appearances in New York, Las Vegas and Orlando.
David has been on the faculty of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, and has been Music Director and Conductor for over 150 hit productions in New York and in regional theatre across the United States.
Educated at Southern Methodist University in Dallas and Queen's College, Oxford University, David is originally from Texas and now makes his home in New York City.
